A Dynamic Island for Mac that earns its place in your day
Looking for a Dynamic Island for Mac? NotchNook Pro turns the area around the notch into a workspace for music, files, copied text, meetings and scripts. Hover to reach the Nook, arrange your widgets and keep the next action beside the work already on screen. [1][2]
Start with the experience shown in the Pro recording: music controls and lyrics, followed by a script in Prompter. That small space can serve the break between tasks and the presentation you are preparing for the next call. [2]
See NotchNook Pro at work
Open Prompter to keep your script near the camera, then return to music and widgets when you finish. Try that workflow on your Mac during the free 48-hour trial.
Music and lyrics at the top of your MacBook
Control playback from the Nook and follow song lyrics in the same space. Choose Liquid Glass so the wallpaper shows through, or solid black around the camera. Add and arrange the widgets you want by right-clicking the notch. [2]
When it is time to work with documents, open Tray or the clipboard instead. The advantage of a configurable notch app is having those actions ready in the order that fits your routine. See the NotchNook Pro overview for the full workspace.
Move files and retrieve copied text
Tray holds the files you are using. Shake the pointer while dragging to open a Pocket and keep separate groups ready for different destinations. AirDrop and conversion are available from the Drop Area. [2]
The clipboard history makes earlier copies accessible with search, filters and categories. Open it from the notch or the bottom shelf while building a document, collecting references or preparing a handoff. Our clipboard guide and file shelf guide show those tasks in more detail.
Use the camera area for your presentation
Prompter puts a script below the camera. Choose a scrolling pace or voice following, with a separate window for your scripts. A lesson, recorded walkthrough or client update can use the same material you collected in Tray and the clipboard. [2]
Calendar shows upcoming macOS Calendar events and a countdown before the meeting. Claude Code and Codex sessions also appear in the notch, with command approvals, questions and AI Usage for limits and renewal. [2]
Works beyond a MacBook with a notch
NotchNook Pro works on displays with or without a physical notch. Choose the screens where the Nook appears, including an external monitor. Pro requires an Apple silicon Mac and macOS 14.6 or later. [1][2]
Try NotchNook Pro free for 48 hours, without a card. The lifetime plan covers up to two Macs for $19; a $3 monthly plan is also available. To compare this workflow with other notch apps, read our best notch app guide. [1]
