Mac clipboard history with NotchNook Pro
Keep Mac clipboard history within reach with NotchNook Pro. Recover earlier copies with search, filters and categories from the notch or a bottom shelf. [2]
Copy text from several sources, then open clipboard history to find an earlier passage. Search for a word in the copied text, use filters or categories and bring the item into your document. [2]
Start with recognizable material
Open the Pro clipboard workspace and use a few ordinary, non-sensitive samples: a sentence with a distinctive word, a link and a second sentence. Copy them in sequence, then return to your document and find the first sentence in the history.
The workspace can be accessed in the notch or as a bottom shelf. Pro also supports opening workspaces from the keyboard. Choose the placement and configured shortcut that fit the way you move between your source and destination. [2]
Use search before browsing a long history
Search for a distinctive word from the passage you want. When the history contains different kinds of material, use the available filters to narrow the selection. Pro also supports categories for organizing copied content. [2]
For a research task, separate the material by its role in the document: a quotation to revisit, a useful reference or a short phrase to reuse. A small, meaningful category set is easier to work with than organizing every copy before you have used it.
Keep the document and its files together
Once you recover the passage, continue assembling the document. Tray keeps the related files nearby, and Pockets can hold items while you change destinations. Calendar can keep the next meeting visible as you work. These tools are part of the same Pro workspace. [2]
Keep the copied text next to the files you are preparing. Retrieve a passage from history, finish the document and send the material from Tray. [2]
Try the routine on your Mac
Pro requires Apple silicon and macOS 14.6 or later. The trial lasts 48 hours without a card. Download it on lo.cafe, recover an earlier copied passage and complete the document you started. [1]
If the history is not behaving as expected, note the Pro version, macOS version, source application and the kind of item you copied. Contact hi@lo.cafe with the sequence and expected result so the report identifies the actual behavior.
